My name is Tanyel Scott, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband and our family. After years of pain and complications from a medical injury, my husband is finally scheduled for the care he desperately needs at Stanford in Palo Alto, CA.
Several years ago, a urethra dilation procedure caused severe damage. Since then, he has endured 9 abscesses behind his testicles and undergone 5 major drain surgeries. Today, he lives with a suprapubic catheter while waiting for reconstructive surgery with Stanford’s urology team. This surgery is our hope for him to finally regain his health and quality of life.
Because we live in Porterville, CA, every trip to Stanford means long drives, overnight stays, and extended time in Palo Alto for surgery and follow-up care. These travel and lodging expenses add up quickly, and with everything else we’re facing, we simply can’t cover them on our own.
We are asking for $3,000 to help us afford gas, hotel stays, and other travel costs during his upcoming surgery and appointments. Your support will make it possible for us to focus on his healing instead of worrying about how to get there.
Support in any form—whether it’s a donation, a share of this fundraiser, or simply keeping us in your thoughts—is a beautiful gift. A helping hand during times like this means the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us through this difficult journey.
