Our sweet precious giant baby, Rufio, managed to eat an entire bottle of strong D3 supplements. Nearly 2,000,000 IU of D3. He was rushed to emergency vet, where they did their best to clear his system. Unfortunately, it had all been absorbed. Putting him at great risk of kidney failure and a myriad of other scary things.

He's being held at the care facility under observation until tomorrow (January 9th) and getting regular meds and tests, etc. He will also be requiring multiple vet visits a week for the next couple months to keep a close eye on his kidneys and liver. . . Needless to say, we're looking at some gigantic vet bills. And they'll only be growing over the next few months.

The good news is that it looks like he'll pull through and be okay if we can keep up with everything.

This dog is not just my pet, not just my ESA. This dog is my entire heart, he is my world, my therapy, my kid. I don't have the words to express my fear over this, I can't tell you how many tears I've cried. Any help at all is so so so appreciated.
