We are in awe of the progress Jake has made in just a short period of time, and we wanted to share a few highlights:
- A few days ago, Jake left the hospital and moved to a rehabilitation facility where he receives three daily therapies- Speech, Occupational and Physical.
- He currently has full strength in his left leg and is able to walk with assistance. His goal is to walk out of this facility on his own and asap :). We have no doubt he will get there.
- Much of his therapy is focused on intense rehabilitation work for his left arm, hand and face.
We will continue to add updates. Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers. We are beyond grateful and know that God is listening.
OUR MISSION:
We all know Jake to be a loyal friend, a kind and generous soul and someone we are proud to call son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. It is hard to put words to the tragic event that happened this weekend. We are incredibly grateful that he is still with us and has more life to live. On behalf of Jake, his parents and his immediate family, we want to say thank you for your continued prayers and support.
The progress he has made in just a short period of time has been nothing short of a miracle and a testament to what a fighter he is. We want to take some of the burden off of him and his family by helping to cover some of the many costs he has and will incur as he continues to recover. We know that Jake would give any of us the shirt off of his back if we needed it, and we want to return the favor in his time of need. We also ask that you continue to pray for Jake, as he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We know God has been with him every step of the way so far and that he hears all of your prayers. Thank you so much, and we love you all.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO JAKE'S FAMILY FOR YOU TO KNOW THAT ALL FUNDS WILL GO TO JAKE'S MEDICAL BILLS AND RECOVERY. SOME EXAMPLES OF THESE EXPENSES ARE MEDICATIONS, FUTURE PHYSICAL THERAPY AND REHAB, AND INCURRED COSTS DURING HIS CURRENT HOSPITAL STAY (SURGERY, CARE, SCANS, ETC).
