Help Us Cover Funeral Service Costs for Melissa Cruz Adamson

Hello. I am Abigail McLaurin writing this with my sister Jem Adamson. We want to raise funds for our mother's Funeral who passed away on 7/10/25.

Her name is Melissa Cruz Rendon-Adamson. Born on 08/25/1972. She was a cellist, a mother of 3 children, a wife, and a grandmother at the age of 52. One of her goals in life was to graduate college and become a teacher, but unfortunately Multiple Sclerosis got in the way. Her physical decline progressed rapidly over recent years. However, her mind was still there through the entire process.

At the end, only her eyes could express her thoughts. Because of this, we were able to ask if she was in pain. The hospice nurses were so kind and could read her eyes with ease. She ached in every joint and ligament, but her husband, Joshua Adamson, was her caretaker and was there every moment to make her feel as comfortable as he could. He prayed the morning before her passing for ministering angels to come down and minister to her. That day, everyone showed up. People he didn't know very well from church showed up, all us kids showed up; friends and family- all there throughout the day. She was blessed with caring souls, and we know that she is still surrounded by souls to help guide her to her place in heaven.

The last thing she heard before passing was the song "A Child's Prayer". It is bittersweet now that she has passed. Knowing that she is no longer suffering, but wishing she was still here with us in person. Currently we face the daunting task of gathering fees to bury our mother.
