Help Us Cover Cremation Costs For Ginger, may she rest easy

Hi, my name is Meghan, and I'm writing this on behalf of my family—my dad, Brandon, and my sister, Jessica. The cover photo is from May 2023, and believe it or not, our lives turned upside down almost a year later. My mom, Ginger, is the third person in the photo, and sadly, she passed away on May 8, 2024.

This picture is significant because it shows her looking perfectly fine. However, a few months later, in October 2023, she could hardly walk without stopping to catch her breath. As her breathing worsened, she was put on oxygen at home. In February 2024, after a lung biopsy, she was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Just a month later, she fell very ill and was hospitalized on March 24, 2024.

She faced a long and difficult battle with lung disease, pneumonia, the flu, and a blood infection. She was intubated on March 25th for 16 days, enduring an incredibly tough journey. After removal of the intubation tube, she could barely move, couldn't speak, eat, or drink. Despite some improvement of moving and talking, she fell ill with pneumonia again. Due to the pulmonary fibrosis, her lungs deteriorated further. Ginger, my mom, was in the hospital from March 24th, and on May 8th, 2024, the disease ultimately took her life, and she became an angel.

Our family hasn't had the best luck. My dad was hospitalized in April 2023 for heart issues, and then a few months later, my mom was struck by this unfair and incurable disease. From the day she was hospitalized until the day she passed, my dad, sister, and I visited her every single day, which caused my dad to occasionally lose work hours.

I wanted to share my mom's story so you can understand why we're asking for help to pay for her cremation. For 45 days, we visited her daily, and many times my dad had to take off work due to the uncertainty of each day. We, as a family, are asking for support in this time of heartbreak to help cover the cremation costs. We deeply appreciate any assistance and thank you for the support.
