Meet Bingo: A Brave Little Fighter in Need of Your Help
Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine we’d be rescuing a severely neglected Poodle puppy, or facing the heartbreaking decision to amputate one of his hind legs. But when we met Bingo, we knew we couldn’t turn our backs on him.
Originally purchased as a “designer breed” for thousands of dollars, Bingo was later neglected by his former owners, who allowed a serious injury to go untreated. The result: irreversible muscle atrophy and necrosis so severe that our veterinary orthopedic specialist confirmed the leg could no longer be saved.
The good news is that puppies like Bingo tend to recover quickly from amputation and go on to live full, happy lives. The difficult news is that the surgery is costly, and Hazel’s House Rescue needs your help to cover it.
At just six months old, Bingo is gentle, loving, and incredibly resilient. He deserves the chance to run, jump, and play like any other puppy his age. Sadly, he has spent more than half of his young life in pain, struggling to walk on a useless limb.
Your donation, no matter the amount, will directly support Bingo’s surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation. It will also allow us to continue rescuing vulnerable dogs like him, including those at risk in our local municipal shelters. The estimated cost of the surgery is $5,500 to $6,500.
Thank you for your compassion and continued support.
With gratitude,
