Update #2: Well the bills have started rolling in and because of that I have had to raise my goal to $20,000. If anybody sees this any amount you can send will be greatly appreciated. It doesn't seem this is getting a lot of attention but I have to keep trying.
Update: She passed away on 1/1/2026. There is still a need to pay the outstanding ambulance bills as well I am sure some unexpected expenses in the wake of her hospitalization and now funeral expenses.
My wife and I are both on fixed incomes, Social Security, and use Medicare. My wife has End Stage Kidney failure along with Congestive Heart failure. She recently fell and broke her hip and as part of the follow up care she had to go clinics in Rome, GA for hip care and to have a permanent tube put in for her dialysis treatment. She is bed ridden and on oxygen so the only way to get to the clinics is by ambulance. We didn't know it at the time but Medicare does not cover ambulatory rides for such treatments. They cover her trips to the dialysis clinic but not other clinics. We live in rural Georgia and that is 50 mile round trip. So because we didn't know we now have bills totally over $10,000 just in ambulance costs which there is no way we can pay. Please help if you can.
