Help us complete our school project

Our organization - Dayspring Missions of Hope a 501(C)3 non-profit public charity organization started building a school in Kalambo, a village in Malawi.

Our team visited the nation of Malawi a couple of years ago and saw the great need of building a school in this part of Malawi where no single high school existed for children to attend after graduating from elementary school. The closest high school to Kalambo is 11 Miles away. Due to a shortage of high schools, only a few children in each district get selected to attend high school out of thousands that complete elementary school education each year.

Children walk 22 Miles daily (a 6-hour daily journey to and from the closest School). Over the years, there have been reports of children being kidnapped, molestated, and snake-bitten. Also, many children drop out of school and some experience untimely deaths as a result of the hardship from the long, exhausting, and dangerous daily walk to school.

The goal of this project is to bridge the gap and build a school closer to the homes of these little children, turning a 6 hour daily walk to only 15 minutes. Currently, we have built 3 standing blocks of classrooms. Now we need to build a toilet and plaster the walls of the classrooms already built. Once this is done, the school can open its doors to more than 500 Students in this area and the community takes over the running of the school.

We are presently raising a sum of $15,000 to complete this school project. Every dollar you contribute brings us closer to finishing this much needed school. Your contribution is not only helping to wipe out illiteracy, it is saving lives and turning destinies around for good.
