Hello friends, supporters, and kind strangers,
My name is Chelsea, and for the past five years I’ve been the heart and hands behind Hedgewitch Hall, Mainstream Mercantile, and Kentucky Noir — three little creative brands built out of love, late nights, and a belief that handmade things still matter. I've poured myself into the creation of magical teas, nostalgic posters, roller ball perfumes, candles, art prints — tiny pieces of comfort and joy that helped people feel seen. And for a long time, creating that magic helped me stay afloat too.
But today, I'm at the hardest point I've ever faced. This Christmas, instead of preparing for a new year of creativity and growth, I am preparing to close everything — the shops, the brands, the LLCs — all of it. I worked for months to sell the entire business so I could step away safely. That sale fell through at the finish line, and now I’ve run out of time. I'm doing everything I can on my own, but without help, I won’t be able to close the business cleanly — and my personal life cannot absorb what’s left.
This isn’t just a business crisis. It’s a family crisis. It’s terrifying to say out loud, but honesty matters: If I can’t close this business the right way, my family could lose everything.
Every donation goes toward:
✔ Paying off remaining business debt
✔ Covering final show expenses (through March)
✔ Shipping and fulfilling final promised items
✔ Catching up on medical bills
✔ Making sure we still have our home when this is over
I am not trying to save the business. I am trying to save myself.
⭐ Why Now Is the Moment That Matters
The holidays are the time when people open their hearts — to generosity, to goodwill, to helping strangers who need a hand. I am humbly asking to be one of the people you help this season.
Your support — whether it’s $5 or sharing this link — directly helps my family:
- Keep our home
- Manage medical bills
- Close the business responsibly
- Step into 2026 without fear
I never imagined needing a fundraiser. I've always tried to be the one giving, making, creating, and showing up for other people. But right now, I cannot get through this alone.
Whether you’ve been with us since the first cup of tea we ever sold… or whether this fundraiser is your very first introduction to us… Thank you for being here.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for helping a small family get through something incredibly hard.
Thank you for giving us a chance to breathe again.
Thank you for choosing kindness.
Thank you for helping us close with dignity — and rebuild with hope.
