In Loving Memory of Phillip Kemp
Hello, my name is Yaamina Rowland, Phil’s oldest daughter. Recently, our family lost our beloved father to multiple strokes that affected both sides of his brain. This sudden loss has left a huge hole in our hearts.
We are raising funds to help cover the costs of the reception, his studio gym costs and support of his family. Your support during this difficult time will mean the world to us and help us honor Dad’s memory with the dignity and love he deserves.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
About my dad:
My dad was—and still is—deeply loved by family and friends. He was a personal fitness trainer who truly believed in each of his clients and genuinely wanted to help everyone live their best life. But he was so much more than that. He was a great friend, a loving father, a loyal protector, and an incredible person overall.
What made my dad truly special was his ability to listen with care and offer thoughtful, meaningful advice.
He is the proud father of three daughters, grandfather to one granddaughter, with two more grandchildren on the way. He will be deeply missed by us—and by so many others whose lives he touched.
— Yaamina (Eldest daughter)
I’m Kiara, Phil’s middle daughter.
My dad was a special person to everyone who knew him. His spirit was understanding, comforting, and always easy to talk to. He had so much love for everyone.
Growing up, my dad taught us what it meant to be fair, respectful, and true to ourselves. He was so much fun, and we loved laughing together—about everything. His laughter will always echo in my ears like a favorite record.
The lessons he taught me, especially on the days I needed to talk to him most, will stay with me forever. He always knew when we needed him, and he was just a phone call away. That one call could turn my whole day around.
I loved bragging about how strong and buff he was—lol. I always felt so protected around him, like he was my shield from everything.
My dad held so much love in his heart for everyone, and that love is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
— Kiara (middle daughter)
My dad was always the kind of person who offered help to others—even when they didn’t seem to need it. He had such a comforting presence that made everyone around him feel happy and at home. His soul was wise, and even though he couldn’t always be there for us physically, he always knew what to say to make us feel less alone.
My father was a very down-to-earth man who could talk to just about anyone who approached him. He loved us deeply and would do anything for us. He was the best dad any of us could have asked for—and truly an amazing person all around.
— Nimat (youngest daughter)
