Hi everyone! If you know me, you know I never imagined I’d be making a GoFundMe for something like this. Asking for financial help is honestly really hard for me, but I wanted to give this a try rather than let the stress of money take away from something that means so much to us. I’m creating this for myself and my fiancé as we prepare to get married during Thanksgiving week. We are not having a traditional wedding or a big wedding ceremony. Our plan is simple: we’ll go to the courthouse, take care of the legal part of getting married, have a quick and simple courthouse ceremony, and then head home to celebrate with our closest family members and friends. We want to keep the actual marriage part quick and intimate. The celebration afterward is where we’ll get to enjoy the day with the people we love most. We’re not looking for an expensive or extravagant wedding, just a beautiful, meaningful day where we can officially become husband and wife and then celebrate this new chapter surrounded by our family and friends. The support will help us cover our courthouse marriage license and ceremony, my long white dress for the courthouse, a short white dress for our wedding photos and invitations, food, drinks and desserts. Please know there is absolutely no pressure to help. If you aren’t able to contribute, sharing this or simply cheering us on means just as much to us.
