For those who know me, know my life revolves around service, whether it’s rescuing and running with shelter dogs to give them hope, or working alongside people in the homeless community to remind them they are not forgotten. I’ve spent so much of my time fighting to save others. And yet, I couldn’t save my own son. That is a pain I will carry forever.
My son, Xiomor Highsmith, was full of life, music, and laughter. He loved to dance, record songs, and make videos with his friends. Xiomor had a gift for lifting spirits! his energy and presence drew people in, and everyone who knew him loved him for the joy, kindness, and light he carried.
On August 15, 2025, Xiomor’s bright light was tragically cut short, leaving our family heartbroken and unprepared for the unexpected costs of laying him to rest.
No parent should ever have to bury their child, and I want to give my son the farewell he deserved surrounded by love, music, and family.
As many of you know, funerals come with heavy and unexpected expenses that no family is ever truly prepared for.
With your support, we can honor Xiomor’s memory and give him the service that reflects the joy he brought into this world.
