Help Us Celebrate Greg Dawson’s Retirement

After nearly three decades of dedicated service to his country, community, and fellow first responders, Greg Dawson is retiring. From active duty in the U.S. Air Force to roles in police, fire, and EMT services, and later as a K9 officer, fraud investigator, firearms instructor, crisis negotiator, and peer support team member—Dawson has worn many hats and made an impact in every one.

For the last 19 years, he has been a cornerstone of the Fayetteville Police Department, recognized for his quiet strength, commitment to excellence, and dedication to service. He even founded the Responder 1st Assistance Program, a nonprofit that supports first responders in crisis.
