Honoring My Mom April and Helping Her Kids

Donation protected

I wanted to update this GoFundMe and share what this means for us. My mom, April, passed away from a fentanyl overdose. She fought addiction for years, but she always loved us kids with everything she had. When she was doing better, she’d show up smiling, laughing, and trying to make up for lost time. I’ll always love and cherish her for that.

We’re planning a small, simple service to celebrate her life. Something peaceful and real, the way she’d want it. Part of these funds will help make sure each of her four kids can have ashes to hold onto and remember her by.

After that, anything left will help her kids. Me, Chloe, Logan, and Lily.. keep moving forward. We’ve all been through a lot in different ways, and losing her has left a hole that’s hard to fill. I have a new baby, and we’re just trying to build a safe, steady life. My brother and sister have amazing support from their dad, James, and he’s the one who reminded me this is what Mom would’ve wanted.. for all her kids and her grandkid to be okay. Logan and Chloe are doing good, and now it’s time for me to try and do the same for my little family.

My mom always said she wanted her kids to have more than she did. That’s what I want too. Every bit of help, big or small, goes toward keeping her memory alive and helping her kids break the cycle she never could.
