Hey everyone! We’re Georgia and Bella, and we’re in Weligama, Sri Lanka.

We spent some time in Sri Lanka in 2023 volunteering with street dogs, so coming back we already knew how tough things can be for them. Sadly, the situation hasn’t improved much, there are still so many dogs struggling with hunger, illness, and lack of care.

A couple of days ago, we came across what we thought was a struggling mum and three puppies, so we went back the next day with some food for them. But when we returned, we realised there were actually around 8 adult dogs and 5 puppies; all skinny, covered in ticks and fleas, and with signs of mange and skin irritation.

We’ve started feeding this little gang, and now we’re hoping to raise some money to continue feeding them and improve their health.

Our plan is to:

Feed them regularly

Vaccinate them

Spay and neuter them

Treat them for fleas, ticks, worms and skin issues

The great thing is that vet care in Sri Lanka is super affordable, so even small donations go a long way. Just a few pounds can cover a meal, a vaccine, or a flea and worm treatment.
