Hi!

In addition to caring for our own 5 rescue pets, we've been helping other people animals. A friend looking for a new rescue dog and my father with a dog in his care. She requires sedation for any vet visit, including nail trims. It all adds up. The stray cats in the neighborhood by providing food, medical care, and working to get them fixed so they don't continue to struggle in the harsh North Carolina summer.

We are reaching out for support to help cover recent vet bills, supplements, and supplies for our cats and the local strays as funds become available. If you feel moved to help, would you mind purchasing an item off our animal wish list or donating here? Your kindness will make a real difference for these animals and help us continue our mission to ensure pets are well cared and no stray animal is left suffering or procreating here in Clayton.

Donate item or funds! I can upload receipts for vet care in the comments or send to any willing donors. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2IREPXHFV11R7?ref_=wl_share

A few months ago, we took in a stray cat who quickly became part of our family. After a couple of weeks, we noticed her belly growing and soon realized she was pregnant—at just seven months old herself. We prepared our garage as a cozy 'cat condo,' and in the early morning hours, she gave birth to three kittens. It was a beautiful but challenging experience, especially when the mama cat, inexperienced and scared, accidentally injured one of her kittens while trying to sever the umbilical cord. With daily dressing changes, antibiotics, and lots of love, he made a remarkable recovery.

Finding homes for the kittens was not easy. Several potential adopters backed out due to concerns about ongoing care, but we were determined to give them the best chance. We adopted the mom and now Junior Mint ourselves, and the third is still with us, looking for a sponsor to help with his care until we can find an adopter or end up adopting him if they become bonded more.
