This photo was taken just a few days ago - my sister and I kissing our Mom in her hospital bed. It’s one of the hardest moments we’ve ever lived through, yet somehow it captures what matters most: love, faith, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her daughters.
Our Mom has always been the quiet constant in our lives. She’s given her whole heart to everyone around her, even when she had little left to give. But now, she’s in a battle we can’t fix with hugs or words - a terminal cancer diagnosis that has progressed faster than we ever could have imagined.
For months, we believed her treatments were helping, but we’ve since learned she wasn’t fully truthful about how bad things had become. She was trying to protect us, like moms always do. When we arrived in South Carolina last week, we discovered just how sick she truly was. Since then, our world has been flipped upside down as we’ve navigated hospitals, hospice, and heartbreak all at once.
We’ve had to make impossible choices that no family should have to make - securing hospice care, managing her medical and financial affairs, and ensuring she can live her remaining time in peace, comfort, and dignity. Our hope is to keep her at home, surrounded by love, where she can be cared for with compassion and faith until The Lord calls her home.
But the reality is, the financial burden is overwhelming. We are seeking help to cover:
• In-home nursing care
• Outstanding medical bills
• Basic living costs for her care
• And ultimately, final expenses when that time comes
Every dollar will go directly toward ensuring our Mom’s comfort and peace during this sacred time. Your prayers, your kindness, and your generosity mean more than we can ever express.
We believe in miracles. We believe in God’s timing. And we believe that love - especially a mother’s love - is eternal. Thank you for helping us carry her through this season with grace, faith, and dignity.
With love and gratitude,
Michelle and Jennifer
