Help Us Care for Nova

Nova, our mini Australian Shepherd, has been a cherished member of our family for over seven years. She’s always by our side, offering unconditional love and comfort whether we’re on the couch or curled up in bed. Nova’s joyful spirit and gentle nature have touched everyone she meets. Coming home and not seeing her waiting for us is heartbreaking, and knowing she’s alone in the hospital has made this time especially difficult for our family.

Recently, Nova began experiencing sudden and severe health issues. We woke up to find her eyes swollen shut, and soon after, she developed coordination problems with her back legs and swollen masses in her neck. She’s been receiving care at CARE, where she’s undergone bloodwork, fungal tests, ultrasounds, x-rays, aspirations, and now a biopsy to search for answers. The uncertainty and worry have been overwhelming, and the medical costs are quickly adding up with each hospital visit and test. This has all come at the same time we’re preparing to travel for my sister’s wedding, making the financial strain even more unexpected.

Our greatest hope is to find out what’s affecting Nova so she can return to her happy, healthy life. The funds raised will go directly toward her ongoing medical care and give us the chance to pursue every option for her recovery. We also hope that Nova’s case can provide insights that help other families and pets facing similar challenges in the future.
