I've been watching over a feral cat colony for a couple of years. We've tried for TNRs but had no luck. This year, we had 4 litter with 19 kittens, of which 16 are still alive. Some have been adopted but I'm still feeding 10 kittens and 13 adult cats.

We've chosen to feed a mix of canned food and dry food because a dry food only diet is not good for cats. As a result, we spend roughly $600 a month on food. We've also been hit by $3,000 in vet bills this year as some of our fellow townspeople seem set on killing cats and we've payed to have some cats fixed.

We're looking to affiliate with the humane society as fosters for the cats. While that will help with placing the kittens in homes, it comes with no financial assistance.

We are retired on a fixed income and can no longer foot the fill ourselves.

Money given to this gofund me will only be used to feed and care for the feral cats. Should we wind up with no remaining cats, any money remaining in this fund will be donated to Caring Hands Humane Society in Newton, KS - a no kill shelter.

I've had to simply release all of the cats. I can no longer care for them and the humane society *refused* to help while I was hospitalized.
