Caramel isn’t just a guinea pig — he’s a cherished member of our school family.

As our much-loved school pet, Caramel brings daily joy, comfort, and learning opportunities to our children. He helps teach them responsibility, kindness, empathy, and how to care for animals. For many of our pupils, spending time with Caramel is the highlight of their day.

Recently, Caramel suffered a rupture to one of his eyes. It’s been upsetting for everyone. He is currently receiving veterinary care, including pain relief, antibiotics, and medicated eye drops. Our hope is that this treatment will prevent the need for surgical removal of his eye — but we are closely monitoring his progress with the vet.

As you can imagine, veterinary treatment is costly. We are raising funds to:

• Cover Caramel’s current vet bills

• Fund any follow-up appointments or emergency treatment he may need

• Create a small, ring-fenced emergency fund for Caramel and our other school pets

Every single penny raised will be strictly ring-fenced and used ONLY for veterinary care for our school animals.

Caramel has given our children so much — smiles, cuddles, confidence, and compassion. Now we’re hoping our community can come together to give something back to him.

No donation is too small. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing our page to help us spread the word.

Thank you for helping us care for a very special little member of our school community.
