An elderly woman in Sandy Springs has been quietly caring for a large number of stray cats—feeding them every day and doing her best to keep them safe. What started as a few cats has grown into a situation that she can no longer manage on her own.
Today, we were able to step in and begin helping.
So far, we have humanely trapped 7 cats—5 males and 2 females. Many of the males were in very rough condition, needing antibiotics and extra medical attention. One of the females weighed only 4 pounds and was already pregnant. She has now been safely spayed to protect her health and prevent further suffering.
But there are still many more to help.
We are currently working to:
- Locate and rescue any kittens on the property
- Find and trap another pregnant female before she gives birth
- Continue trapping the remaining cats so they can receive care
At this point, spay/neuter and medical costs have already exceeded $2,000, and we have only reached about half of the cats in need.
This is where we need your help.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward:
- Spay and neuter surgeries
- Urgent medical treatment and antibiotics
- Ongoing rescue and care for the remaining cats
This elderly caregiver has done everything she can. Now it’s our turn to step in and make sure these cats don’t continue to suffer or multiply beyond control.
Please consider donating or sharing to help us continue this urgent rescue effort in Sandy Springs.
