Help us buy tablets for NELA students!

COVID-19 has persisted to make this a challenging year for everyone but as the 2020 school year starts, there are still many students at risk of being left behind in their education due to the continued closure of schools. According to the LA Times, LAUSD enrollment is in decline and as an active member of the Northeast Los Angeles community, I see this as a totally preventable tragedy. So we're collecting money to purchase 150 tablets for NELA students grades K-12!
We have chosen to purchase 150 Amazon Fire 8 tablets for their affordability and their processing power and with taxes and shipping, they end up costing $100 each.
Please help us reach our goal and get tablets in the hands of NELA students so they can continue their education journey in 2020 and beyond!
Skylight Books in Los Feliz has generously offered to host our book drive on their website! You can view their curated lists for each age group here
