According to UNICEF, Uganda has over 2.7 Million Orphaned children. Frequent incidents of Violence, terrorism and natural disasters have contributed to the number of Orphans in Uganda. About Mugweri Philly Director Muga Child Outreach. Philly grew up in a poor family and became a sponsored child at the age of 6 years. Philly successfully completed High School and had an ambition of completing further studies to become a Doctor. However after High School, his sponsor was unable to continue to support him financially, so his dream of being a Doctor couldn't be achieved as he could not afford the tuition costs. Instead of being disappointed on missing out on his dream, Philly Mugweri wanted to show his appreciation to sponsor by giving back to his local community, Philly Mugweri decided to start a project (Muga Child Outreach) for the children who were from financially disadvantaged backgrounds and provide them with Opportunities. We currently have 32 Orphaned children under our care who need money for school, food, clothes and medication. We are trying raise enough money to build a home to accommodate all these children. We currently rent 2 small rooms in different places. These 2 rooms are used for the children to sleep in. We urgently need to get land and build a home for Orphans. This home will house approximate 30 - 40 Children for both living and schooling. It will consist of bedrooms, classrooms, dinning Hall, kitchen, separate bathrooms for boys and girls, and gated playground for the children.
