Buy Some Food with Us for Covid19 Victims in London
Foodbanks in London are struggling to provide enough food to Londoners during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Can you donate to support London’s foodbanks?
The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has made it much more difficult for many Londoners to financially or physically access food. This includes thousands of Londoners on no or low incomes, including many older people, those with disabilities, rough sleepers and asylum seekers and migrants with No Recourse to Public Funds. However, many charities which represent food banks across London and the UK have recently reported that some food banks have been forced to close or are considering closing, due to a shortage of food and people to run them.
On realising that food banks need our help more than ever, and the enormous impact the pandemia is having on the most vulnerable sectors of society, we (Maxence and Noah) have decided to launch a campaign and raise funds to buy and donate food items to food banks in London. Our targeted food banks are located in the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea; we will only donate food items, not cash, to make sure we provide food banks with the most urgently needed food items on a regularly basis throughout our campaign. For as little as £5 or £10, you can make a huge difference.
