I am making a gofundme (with my parent's help) for Doug, who I met serving at the youth ministry at our church (Bayside in Granite Bay). I and many other kids really love learning and spending time with Doug. He is kind, funny, and a true believer in Jesus. I found out that Doug rides his bike to church and to work because he is on a fixed income and has no other means of transportation. I know from his residence to the church is around 6 miles one way (12 miles roundtrip) and 11 miles one way (22 miles roundtrip) to his work in Sacramento. Doug comes to church no matter the weather. Did I mention that Doug is 70 years old? I would love nothing more than to help collect (and I am donating myself too) money to purchase Doug a new electric bike that will make his trips to church and work faster and easier on his body. Please consider helping Doug as he helps and blesses so many people as well. It’s time to show him appreciation and that his community cares about him.
