Protective gear for Yale New Haven Hospital

We are staff, faculty, students, and friends of Yale Department of Neurosurgery and we're seeing firsthand how our hospitals are running critically low on personal protective equipment (PPE), such as face shields, masks, disposable gloves, etc.
Our hospitals are expecting a sharp increase in COVID19 positive patients in the coming weeks, and without PPE, our medical providers will be at risk. And the hospital may not be able to get supplies quickly enough to meet the rapid demand.
Our department has been collaborating with doctors in China and helping to develop best practices for Yale's response to the pandemic. One of our researchers has connections to approved PPE manufacturers in China and we're raising money so that we can buy equipment to donate to the Yale New Haven Hospital system.
Each PPE costs $3-5, so if we raise $5,000, we'll be able to donate 1,250 PPE to our nurses and doctors! If we exceed our goal, we'll keep donating supplies.
Every dollar counts, and every dollar will go towards procuring medical equipment to send directly to the hospitals. Please help if you can. We need to keep our providers safe so they can keep saving lives!
