Help us buy a ventilator - Kalubowila hospital SL

Hi this is Nad and Shilani Perera. We recently found out that our birth country is in turmoil due to the on-going Covid-19 crisis. Most public hospitals have reached full capacity and overflowing with patients who are suffering from the Corona virus. Unfortunately most of these patients have no access to ventilators and pass away without any support. We have decided to buy a ventilator to donate to the Kalubowila public hospital in Sri Lanka. The ventilator will help current patients of Corona virus and many more to come even after the Covid-19 pandemic ends. Ventilators are sometimes called life support. You may need a ventilator in an emergency if a condition makes it difficult to breathe on your own. It cost 1,000 000 Rupees to purchase a ventilator. 

We have partnered up with Nad's cousin Dr. Dimuthu Saraji Wijesekera, Paediatric Neurologist and her husband Anura Wijesinghe, Vascular Surgeon in Sri Lanka to organise purchasing the machine and donate it to the hospital. We can therefore guarantee that your funds will go to this worthy cause.
