We all saw the events surrounding Christian Eriksen in Denmark’s opening match of the Euros and how the prompt availability of a defibrillator helped to save his life.
Wigmore Youth FC are raising money to install a defibrillator within meters of our home ground, Kings Frith.
This will help not just be for use by the boys and girls playing football for our club or Pegasus 81 (who share the same home ground) but will help support anyone in the local community should the need arise. A generous local resident has agreed for this to be secured to the outside of their property and the ambulance service will be able to provide access to the device should it ever be required.
Wigmore Youth FC will also be undertaking additional fund raising events to achieve our target.
If generosity allows and we end up beating our target, we will use any additional funds to provide advanced first aid training to our coaches and local residents.
Whilst a defibrillator is expensive to buy, it will be priceless if it can be used to help save a life.
If you can spare a pound, or more, please help us meet our target.
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
