Help us buy a chair for Sam

Sam and his family are in desperate need of a new power wheelchair for him. The family is asking for our help to make a significant and meaningful impact to help change and alleviate some of the worries associated with Sam and his ability to fully participate with his family, friends, and community in the future. 

Sam has a medical diagnosis of cerebral palsy and uses a power wheelchair as his primary means of mobility. Unfortunately, Sam has had the same power wheelchair for over 10 years and is now in desperate need of a new one. His current wheelchair is constantly in need of repair and has been a source of financial burden for his family. Sam is in need of a new power wheelchair that allows him to obtain a standing position independently. Without which he would develop pressure sores and other detrimental health effects. This new chair will provide Sam with increased independence that he will need once graduating high school and moving forward into his adult life. 

Those who know and work with Sam know him to be a very happy and social youngman who loves working hard and playing sports. He is determined to one day become a professional power soccer player. Sam is currently in his senior year at Downers Grove North High School.
