Brody is a bright and beautiful 10.5-month-old who has already shown more strength and courage than most of us will in a lifetime. Born premature, Brody came into this world facing extraordinary challenges — including a severe midline bilateral cleft lip and palate and an encephalocele.

Despite his daily struggles, Brody’s smile lights up every room. He’s been fighting with incredible determination, but now he needs our help. This is the first of many surgeries Brody will face in his life — and it’s needed as soon as possible. This first surgery is a major step toward allowing him to breathe, eat, and grow without the constant barriers of a feeding tube and oxygen.

The out-of-pocket cost for this first surgery is $15,000. The doctor requires $7,500 up front before they will even schedule the procedure, which will then be set for 30 days out. The remaining $7,500 must be paid in full 7 days before the surgery takes place. Without these payments, the surgery simply cannot move forward.

Since Brody’s birth, his mom, Brandy, has had to stop working to care for his daily medical needs. When they were told the total cost, the family was shocked — they have no way to save for it, already being stretched thin just to cover basic living expenses, with 6 people in the household.

Our fundraising goal is $15,000 to help secure the initial payment and the remaining balance.
