Help Us Bury Our Beloved Mother Rev Mavis Boateng
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart to announce that on April 22, 2021 our mother, our sister, our auntie, and our friend Reverend Mavis Boateng passed away in her sleep. She wasn’t sick nor did she have any medical conditions. She went to sleep and unfortunately did not see the next morning. Although it is a great shock to the family, loved ones and all who have encountered this woman of God. We know God in his own time knows best and does what is good for His servants. We know His servant Mavis is resting peacefully in His heavenly kingdom with the elders, saints, and angels.
Born and raised in Kumasi a great city in Ghana, she was raised in a household of more than 11 children. Though things never came easy, Rev Mavis with the help of God was a very bright student. She was a determined businesswoman who sold stuff between Ghana and its boarders. She gained a scholarship to study in Europe which she maximized and persevered her way through to get herself to America.
To her, the most important job was being a mother. Having four children one girl and three boys (Nana Yaa Konadu Nyim-Asare, Yaw Nyim-Asare, Kwabena “Kobby” Yeboah Nyim-Asare, Kwado Boateng Nyim-Asare she took care of three of her children in Ghana while she balanced school and raising the last born in America. She never failed to put a smile on her children’s face regardless of whatever pain she was experiencing because their smiles brought her happiness and their tears was her sorrow. With all the struggle she managed to get one of her sons into the United States from Ghana. She was a counselor and advisor to many having been called by God. Everybody loved her because her energy was different.
Now with this tragedy, the family and the two boys left in the U.S are in a very complex place. So with a needing heart we are calling on you and the public to give as much as you can so that we can give Rev Mavis Boateng the mom, the aunt, the sister, the friend, the woman of Good a befitting burial. Extra donations will be channeled to the children for rent, education, and personal debts of the late Rev. Mavis Boateng. Thank you and God bless you for giving.
