My grandma was a fiercely independent woman of God who was the matriarch of our family. She was the storyteller for our little family, always sharing stories about our ancestors and keeping our history alive. Her strength, faith, and love shaped who we are, and her presence was a guiding light for all of us.

In December, we lost her, and our family has been struggling to come to terms with her passing. We want nothing more than to give her the respectful burial she deserves, but we simply do not have enough to cover the costs.
