Help us bury our beautiful grandparents
Our campaign started after the passing of our beautiful grandma but with utter shock and sadness, we have to say goodbye to our loving grandpa as well who decided to take his last breaths just 6 days after his wife, our angel.
The ultimate love story. Two hearts together, beating as one for 67 years!
He told us he wanted to be with her and so he had his final wish and they are now together, watching over us.
What I've written below, originally written for my grabpndma but equally applies to my grandpa - they were like no others.
Now we have to bury both. This is pure heartbreak.
Sadly their eldest daughter somehow didn't have the same generous heart they did and chose not to assist us in burying her own parents. It's a very sad day in the world when money reigns over a family bond.

The most beautiful angel left our earth unexpectedly this week and the world is at a loss without her. Our loving grandma passed away after falling ill and after a really good fight, sadly took her final breaths with us by her side.
She was like no other. I know everyone has the same thoughts of their loved ones but one thing I know for sure, is that she was definitely one of a kind!
What she endured through her life, you can't even imagine and if you read it in a book, you'd think you were reading a fiction novel. She is the strongest woman I have ever encountered!
To share just a small part of her story :
Branka migrated to Australia from a tiny village in Serbia with her husband and two daughters. They came here with hopes and dreams to create a better life after leaving the struggles and suffering of farm life in Serbia and to give their girls a life of health and prosperity.
They came without a cent to their name, suitcase on their back, travelled half way around the world on a ship to a young country where they didn't know anyone, know the customs or speak the language.
They worked the asses off to assimilate, learn English, give back to the country that they called home for over 50 years!
Sadly, lots and lots of terrible things happened to them along their way and they
lost everything. To write about the atrocities here would put energy into the darkness but instead I want us to highlight the light and love. She gave everything for everyone. Nothing was ever a hassle. Nothing.
My beautiful grandmas love was felt all over. She would share her love through food and even if you weren't hungry, she'd still make you eat until SHE felt you were full! She never spoke a bad word about anyone and always smiled with her sunshine eyes and no matter how bad life seemed, she always made it brighter. Her greatest love was her family and being around us all the time.
So how did I end up here?
Devastatingly we underestimated the cost of a funeral and our insurance only covers a quarter of the costs!
On top of that, throw in a very sick grandpa, a very complex family dynamic and want to send her off in the honour that she deserves. Just heartbreaking.
I've never done anything like this before but I believe in magic and the spirit of love because that's what she instilled into us. A generous and compassionate heart that knew no borders, no religion, no gender or race, just pure love ❤️
So, if your heart beats like ours, we would be eternally grafetul and honoured if you help us give her the funeral she deserves.
