Help Us Build Qatar’s Happiest Rescue Home – Phase Two!
On June 8, 2021, we started FurKids with one mission: to save, heal, and rehome Qatar’s abandoned dogs and cats. With no official animal welfare laws, no government shelter, and no protection for strays, our rescues face horrific abuse—dogs and cats are dumped in the desert, hit by cars, shot, or left to starve.
Yet, despite all odds, we have rehomed over 300 dogs and countless cats—without a shelter of our own, relying only on boarding and fosters.
In May 2025, our dream became a reality—we launched our very own sanctuary! Today, we are home to 79 dogs and 20 cats, all rescued from the streets of Qatar.
Not Just a Shelter—A Joyful Sanctuary
We refuse to build a cold, lifeless kennel. FurKids Sanctuary is designed to be a happy, healing home where animals and people thrive together:
- Dogs live in cozy rooms with beds—not cages.
- Large indoor & outdoor playgrounds for freedom and fun.
- A doggy swimming pool for play & therapy.
- A kid-friendly space for families to bond with rescues.
- Beautiful palm-lined trails for walks & exploration.
- A volunteer hub for adoption events & community activities.
The Challenge: Running & Expanding
Launching the sanctuary was only the beginning. To keep saving lives, we need your support to maintain operations and complete the next phase of renovations:
- Monthly Running Costs: 75,000 QAR (~$20,500) (food, rent, medical care, workers, and utilities)
- Phase Two Renovation: 21,000 QAR (~$5,800) per room. We have 15 more rooms to complete, giving every dog their own safe, clean, and comfortable space.
Every month, hundreds of dogs and cats in Qatar face abuse and abandonment. With your help, we can give them a safe haven, medical care, and the chance to find forever families.
