Hi Strength City fam near and far! For those of you who have been moving with us since our inception in 2020 we thank you so much, we literally would not be where we're at without you. For those of you who don't know us yet, we are Strength City, a mom and pop fitness shop created during the craziness that was 2020. Find out a little more about us below.

We are Alex & Dean, the founders of Strength City. When the 2020 shutdown happened due to COVID-19 we both lost our studio jobs as well as many of our full time clients. We put our heads together and decided to create our Strength City brand. We started offering daily donation based Instagram Live workouts, and every month we would donate a portion of our proceeds to a new cause, some of which include 'No Kid Hungry', 'City Harvest', 'Black Lives Matter', and more. We eventually built a three week program and got a group together for our #QuaranTEAM15 challenge - daily workouts and challenges to keep you active and 'in touch'. It was so much fun, and so necessary during such a secluded time. This led us to create a regular virtual schedule, and when we were given the go ahead to start training outdoors, we did just that and added an entire schedule for in-person outdoor group training. All along the way we have hosted virtual and in person fundraisers, and are always trying to share movement and fitness with as many people as possible.

We have built such a strong community on the turf in Long Island City, and with the winter ahead of us (winter is coming for all of our GOT fans), we knew we had to have an indoor option to keep everyone moving and keep the SC Fam strong. Well, we found a spot and we are SO excited about this new chapter of Strength City .

With that being said, we need your help. We are in the process of building out our first ever indoor studio and we need new turf, mirrors, proper storage for the equipment, and new cardio options like ski ergs, just to name a few. Any little bit you can contribute will help us create the best possible space and get us up and running as quickly as possible. We look forward to continuing to grow with all of you near and far, and can't wait to see what the future has to offer. If there is anything that we know it's that we're stronger together.
