Aloha friends, ohana, and our amazing community. My name is Chef Dea, and I am a single father working alongside my daughter Tahiya as the owners of Gourmet Egg Rolls! in Kahuku, Hawaiʻi. We have worked incredibly hard to build our business from the ground up. Like many small, family-run businesses, we have faced challenges along the way—from financial hurdles to the demands of balancing work and family—but we have continued to push forward with faith and determination. As many may know, the Kona low storm hit our area hard, and it has been incredibly difficult for us to fully bounce back. The impact set us back in ways we are still working through, but we remain committed to rebuilding and moving forward.

We are reaching out to our community because we are in the final stretch, but we need help getting across the finish line. We are raising funds to complete the remaining work needed to build our dream food truck, including purchasing equipment, upgrades, permits, certifications, and final preparations to get it fully operational. This food truck represents more than just a business. It represents a way to continue providing for our ohana, a chance to create opportunities and jobs in our community, a dream built through perseverance and determination, and a place where people can come together over phenomenal food and great memories.
