Hi!

We are Luzia and Daniel.

We found each other in the foundation of love and yoga and soon understood that we were together for a higher purpose, which started to take the first steps more than 10 years ago.

Luzia is a yoga teacher, holistic therapist, writer, and artist who graduated as an environmental engineer.

Daniel is also a yoga teacher, therapist, sculptor, and artist who graduated in fine arts.

We started practicing yoga as teenagers and easily understood the impact of yoga and meditation practices on our daily lives and the impact we have on people around us.

We also had the luck to meet some teachers throughout our lives who taught us to serve others and to deeply understand that individual happiness is only achieved if all individuals around us, being in a close or wide circle, are also happy.

We could also understand that happiness is not about things or goals but about a state of bliss that we can only find if we practice the art of simply being.

Ten years ago, we had this vision, provided by the grace of our path that took us to collide with the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sarada Maa, and Swami Vivekananda, putting the right people in front of us at the right time, showing us that miracles happen and that synchronicity is not at all a myth.

With the teachings and the grace of these beautiful beings, we were able to understand that we too should be at the service of humanity.

And because we tasted the amazing spiritual benefits of being in an Ashram and having the opportunity of experience sadhana (spiritual practice) for a long time, we thought that these techniques should be in the hands of all the people who, just like us, build a family, work and are active members of the society.

From time to time, we workers and family members, always think about how good it would be to have the possibility, even for a few days, to live like a monk: away from the rush, and stress, and to be able to connect with our higher self. It seems that this society we are living in is against our own retreat…

But we have a dream. This dream has to do with you, us, and a better world.

Nowadays, we live in a compulsive world, where the time to stop and listen to our inner voice is becoming extinct.

Imagine now a haven, where you can stop, be with yourself, practice spirituality, and reconnect, while learning techniques to nurture your conscience and expand awareness in all the world. 

We believe each of us is part of a conscious forest, and, as gardeners, we propose to take care of each seed, nurturing, sowing consciousness, and providing the ground for each one's spiritual growth.

Can you imagine?

When you are full and overloaded, be able to make a simple call and have a haven where all is nurturing you in your own process, be it a process of silence, health, yoga, or simple reconnection.

Because we believe in miracles and miracles do happen in our lives we were able to take our first steps in acquiring this beautiful land in the North of Portugal, which you can see in the video above and in these amazing pictures.

How do we get here?

Ten years ago, Daniel was a pilgrim in the Himalayas, silently walking for a month. That month was full of difficult situations as he dared to go without a guide, passing for situations of extreme danger and also of severe illness, but always without breaking his vow of silence.

It was during a meditation on these sacred mountains that he had a vision of a huge project he should handle as a servant, guide, and propulsor.

After communicating his aim to his wife, Luzia, this was heartfelt by her and she immediately received the input to walk with him on this amazing journey.

As a family of five, we all understood the mission and started to live accordingly.

Right before COVID-19 entered, we decided to leave the house we were renting and start to put some money aside by reducing costs and living in our yoga shala.

But then COVID-19 entered and it was very hard to earn enough to spare, as we value education as a foundation for high awareness and we couldn’t fail the kids with this.

We continued to search for a land to start to give shape to this project of sowing consciousness, but we were with no money, only faith.

We kept working, and as we worked and helped so many people, we found two amazing souls who, as the opportunity appeared, gave us enough money to support our project and signal and secure the land for a year, so we could find a way to pay the remnant until the end of this year of 2024.

We tried to spread the word to some dear friends, yoga students, and clients but the truth is that most of them, like we, are Portuguese, and our reality is we don't have enough money for ourselves, so it was really difficult to achieve the remnant with their help… However, we are thankfull for their presence and support in the most varied shapes.

We only have till the middle of December to assure the land…

After this first step, we have all the time in our lives and we aren't afraid of waiting as we have been in this demand for 10 years now.

Our faith is becoming bigger and stronger, and our willingness to materialize this project is expanding beyond our limits. Also, we have more and more people wanting to get involved and benefit from a place like this.

We believe this part of buying the land will be the hardest part.

After we have the ground to place our feet on, building the land will be easier even if we have to do it with our own bare hands.

Our friends and family consider us a bit crazy... The truth is, we are crazy enough to believe a better world could be achieved by nurturing humanity with presence, breathing, love, healing practices, and spiritual enhancement. And of course, we believe in helping others. We do that daily! We know it works as we are part of a community and never alone! if you believe the same, support us in this amazing adventure!

And as the miracles happen in our lives, all the surrounding souls inspire themselves and start to believe in miracles too, benefiting from our inspiring craziness. :)

Where will the ashram be and how will it happen?

We found this beautiful green land in Marco de Canaveses, 1 hour from Porto. It has 7 hectares, building capacity, lots of water, and organic soil once it has been untouched for twenty years.

We want to:

1st phase:

A guest house

An alternative school

Huts for solitude practices

Agroforestry

Agriculture on the foundations of syntropy, permaculture, and sustainability

A forest that could resist the fires unfortunately so common here in Portugal

A temple for prayer and who knows, to receive some sannyasis in the future

A dome of consciousness where we could meet and practice yoga, silence, sound healing... 

2nd and next phases

How much time do we have?

To make this project happen we are dependent on only one date: 15 December.

That's the final date to acquire the land and we still need 40 thousand euros to complete the purchase.

Why do we want to do this? 

Because it is our mission!

We believe everyone who steps on this earth has a mission and this is ours:

To make a safe space for all interested in spiritual practices, without worries, without exorbitant amounts paid to retreat and to heal no matter what subject needs attention.
