Hello! We are currently asking for your help to raise funds to build our community darkroom! Hi-Desert Film Lab is a family owned small business that is in need of funding to create a darkroom workspace for members of our community.

 

Since opening our film developing business in Joshua Tree, CA in the summer of 2020, we have had an enormous demand to create a darkroom workspace for artists in our desert community. Since realizing this common need for a photographic studio and darkroom workspace in our region, we’ve expanded into a larger “fixer upper” location in Yucca Valley, and have been working tirelessly to provide film, developing services, classes, and a publicly accessible studio and darkroom for members of our community.

 

We are passionate about providing this unique resource to our community of local artists, photographers, and hobbyists - which is why we’ve decided to turn to you for help! Reaching our funding goal will help us cover the costs of raw building materials, darkroom equipment, and PPE/lab safety gear for our community darkroom.
