Help build a library for children in TANZANIA
Donation protected
Every child deserves to have a school library. Libraries have a special responsibility of supporting the process of learning to read and to give children access to all media. They empower children and advocate for their freedom and safety. They encourage children to become confident and competent people. The school library, like any library, is a hub of communal activity for the school. A well-trained library staff with the right resources does everything from improving test scores to inspiring students to take learning beyond the classroom.
We are in the journey to help kids get the education they need. We need your help to allow kids access to books, computers to get quality education they need.
We are counting on you now, and are launching an 8-week funding appeal to accelerate our library construction project. Your donation will pay for roofing materials (iron sheets, nails), windows, cement, tiles, gypsum boards, gypsum powder, labor, books and computers, helping 320 children get quality education.
What are the costs of the project?
The cost of building the library is $5,000 and the cost for furnishing it with books and computers is $3,000, making a total of $8,000.
How will donations be used?
Since LESCOTA’s team consists only of non-paid volunteers, we will use all donations received to cover the costs of the library construction and buying books and computers.
What are the guarantees that your money will reach the youth in need?
