My name is Falon Tabares, and I am the Co-Founder and CEO of The Healthy Earth Organization. We are working to purchase and develop an Urban Farm in Southwest Florida — a space where we can grow fresh, healthy food year-round and make it available to our community at an affordable price.

For years, our nonprofit has been working across Southwest Florida to help families, seniors, and children connect with nature, grow fresh food, and build healthier communities. Through our community gardens, youth education programs, and food access initiatives, we’ve already helped thousands of people learn where their food comes from and how to grow it. But we want to do something even bigger.

With your help, we will create a place where:

Fresh fruits and vegetables are grown locally and made available to families in Southwest Florida at an affordable price

Our NextWave Fellowship Program empowers young adults to become systems-thinking leaders through immersive, community-rooted environmental learning

‍ Fellows gain hands-on experience growing fresh food, distributing it within their communities, and understanding the real-world challenges of building resilient local food networks

Participants also engage in ocean conservation and coastal stewardship, helping protect and restore the ecosystems that make Southwest Florida so special

Our community becomes more connected to nature, food systems, and solutions that strengthen long-term environmental and community resilience

This space will include:

• A large urban farm using in ground beds and vertical gardens

• Educational areas for youth and community workshops

• A community harvest program providing affordable produce

• Volunteer opportunities for students and residents

• A demonstration kitchen showing fresh food can be deliciously prepares.

Our goal is to create a living classroom and food hub that strengthens our local food system.
