Hey everyone, we are Mayme Bouy, Julia Evans, and Nicole Sheahan of Tidelands Nature School, and we have a beautiful vision and goal to bring self, nature, and community together in our natural surroundings. We are three outdoor/experiential educators and professionals seeking to create year-round nature immersion and adventure education programs for the youth and adults of greater Savannah. These programs will look like weekly Homeschool Extracurricular programs, weekly Summer Camp programs, and eventually After School programming, and a Nature Pre-School. Our Adult programs will look like natural and cultural history walks, as well as earth skills and primitive skill workshops. Honestly, the list could be endless, but we want to start somewhere.

Currently, we need the basic equipment and gear to get us off the ground and running our first week-long summer camp. We cannot imagine a nature immersion program without the sport of Sea Kayaking. Nestled at the top of our hundred-mile coastline that is mostly undeveloped, we have immense Salt Marsh and Maritime Forest to explore, grow, and play in. Currently, we need the funds to build our fleet, buy a trailer, and provide safe gear for running our programs. This is hopefully where our community and yourself come into play. We aim to start as organic as possible so we can be successful. We hope you can help us achieve this goal!
