Help us build a wrestling program!

I recently started to work with Leaders of Tomorrow Youth center in trying to build a wrestling program at Judge Sylvania W. Woods Elementary School. As you know, most of Maryland schools do not offer wrestling until usually high school. When LTYC recruited me, they were looking to offer something unique to the students at JSW elementary school.
I am a huge believer in the power of wrestling. It teaches accountability, discipline, confidence, and character in ways that team sports simply can't. Many of the students at this school come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Wrestling will provide them with the opportunity to see the greatness that they possess, teach valuable physical skills and mental toughness.
Wrestling is one of the cheapest sports to participate in, but it does require some basic equipment. Most of all, wrestling mats. Quality mats are a must and are not cheap. I am attempting to raise at least $2,000 dollars so we can purchase roll out wrestling mats for all the students to use. This will provide not just for the mats, but tape and cleaning equipment.
Every single dollar will be put forth toward the purchase of equipment and funding for the program. Help us give these young people a great opportunity.
