Help us build a water well in memory of Al
Help us build a water well in memory of Alagie Mamour Ndow
On the 15th of June 2021 we lost a good friend, a brother, a son, a husband to be and a GREAT Champ in a car accident. Everyone who knew Al knows how BIG his heart was. He brought a great amount of happiness to many of us, supported and motivated everyone around him to be the best version of themselves. He was a true friend that was always there when you needed him. He respected and accepted everyone that he ever crossed path with. He was also a hard working young man that fought for his dream of one day becoming a coach and opening up his very own fight club. Only a few weeks before Allah SWT decided to call him back home, he actually achieved his goals.
When you lose a loved one, there is nothing that can ever take their place and it is very hard to find the perfect way to honour their memory. Giving a Sadaqah Jariyah is one of the best things you can do for a loved one and something that they can benefit greatly from. With Al’s mothers approval we would like to give back to Al for all the good he did for us. This is basically our way of showing gratitude towards Al for the Love & Joy he spread to us all, Insha'Allah.
Building a well where people can regularly draw water is a Sadaqah and will benefit people for generations to come and in turn will continue benefiting Al In Sha’ Allah.
Our goal is to reach an amount of 9000kr in order to build a water well for Al with his name on a plaque.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)
The gift of water saves lives, which is a hugely rewardable action. Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘And whoever saves one [a life] - it is as if he had saved all of mankind’. (Qur’an, 5:32) Imagine this - every single time the clean water you donated saves someone’s life, it is as if you have saved all of mankind!
‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

Note: A well can take up to 9-12 months to complete as in some locations they can only be constructed during certain times of the year. Wells may be constructed with a pump or with a bucket at the discretion of expert teams on the ground based on factors that determine which is most suitable on a case-by-case basis.
When the water well is done I will receive a personalised feedback report with photos of the well and beneficiaries that I will make sure to share will all of you Insha'Allah!
May Allah SWT bless you and reward you all for your generosity!
With love,
