It is with a very broken and heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Awoowo (Grandad) Ali on the 2nd October 2024, Allah Yerhamo.

He was truly beloved to all those he met and was a nuur in the lives of so many. His loss will forever be felt deeply and will leave a permanent mark on those whom he has left behind. It is comforting to know that he has returned back to his Merciful Lord and is in the best of Hands.

With his passing we pray that nothing but khaiir and blessings follow him in to the akhirah and are hoping to build a water well through AfricanWell.Com as a means of ongoing sadaqah jariyah (charity.)

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that we should… "…Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." (Al-Tirmidhi) and that “…Sadaqah wipes out sins like water extinguishes fire." (Al Tirmidhi)

And that “….When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for 3 things - Sahih Muslim…..“

- Sadaqah Jariyah (endless charity.)

- A knowledge which is beneficial.

- A pious family member who prays for him.

So please give and May Allah reward you for your effort, kindness and grant my beloved best friend, Grandad and all the Muslims that have passed away Jannatul Firdaws where we may be reunited with them, Ameen Ya Raab.
