Our students have learning challenges including; Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other unlabelled challenges. They are bright, beautiful, and engaging! For years, they struggled in public schools that promised support but couldn’t deliver, and private schools that simply do not cater to the unique needs of diverse learners.

Then, everything changed. We found a small pod school designed for neurodiverse learners — and for the first time, our children felt seen, supported, and capable. They began catching up academically, building confidence, and actually loving school. As parents, we finally felt hope and relief.

But in March 2025, everything came crashing down. The charity running the program changed their strategic direction and shuttered the program. Overnight, our kids lost the one place where they truly belonged.

We are heartbroken.

But we are not giving up.

Together, parents, teachers, and our community have launched OakHaven Academy — a new learning initiative built by families, for families. We are determined to give our children a safe, supportive, permanent place to learn and grow.
