Our Story
For over 15 years, my wife and I (along with our kids) have opened our hearts and our home to cats in need. What started as caring for a few strays on our porch has grown into a family of over a dozen house cats—tigers, blacks, and grays, each with their own story of survival.
We never set out to run a community cat rescue, but the cats found us. Year after year, kittens are abandoned on our doorstep by people who know we won't turn them away. And we don't. We can't. Every tiny face that shows up hungry and scared becomes part of our family.
The Reality We're Facing
While our love for these cats is endless, our resources are not. The costs of caring for so many cats have become overwhelming:
- Daily feeding for over a dozen cats (dry and canned food for adults and kittens)
- Specialized kitten milk for the youngest arrivals
- Neutering costs to prevent more unwanted litters
- Veterinary care for illnesses, injuries, and preventive care
- Emergency medical treatment when cats/kittens fall ill
The heartbreak of losing kittens because we couldn't afford emergency vet care has taken an emotional toll we wouldn't wish on anyone. Every kitten we've lost haunts us, knowing that with proper medical care, they might still be here.
A Proper Community Cat Rescue
We're reaching out to our community to help us transform our informal rescue operation into a sustainable community cat rescue. Your donations will help us:
- Keep all our cats fed with nutritious food
- Provide immediate veterinary care when needed
- Spay and neuter all cats to prevent more abandoned litters
- Create a safe, comfortable space for cats to thrive
- Continue rescuing abandoned kittens who appear on our doorstep
Every Dollar Makes a Difference
- $50 feeds our cats for a week
- $100 covers at least 2 weeks of food
- $150-200 covers a neutering procedure (this is much needed!)
- $200-500 provides emergency vet care and treatments
- $500+ helps us build better shelter spaces and stock up on supplies
No amount is too small. All donations go directly to cat food, veterinary care, neutering/spaying, and community improvements. Whether you can donate $5 or $50, you're helping us save lives and give these forgotten cats the second chance they deserve.
These cats didn't ask to be abandoned. They didn't choose to be homeless. But they've chosen us, and we've chosen them. With your help, we can continue to be their voice, their protectors, and their family.
Thank you for considering a donation to our community cat rescue. Every contribution brings us one step closer to ensuring no cat goes hungry and no kitten dies for lack of medical care.
