Hi! I’m Bailey :) I’m raising funds to build a “catio” for our feral cat rescue. If you don’t know, we have been feeding and rescuing feral cats from a colony in our neighborhood for nearly a year now. The cat colony started with 30+ cats, and thanks to a neighbor and the animal shelter we were able to do a TNR to trap most of them and get them spayed and neutered before re-releasing them outside. We (me and my husband) have been feeding and providing water to the cats, and when we have the space we take them into our own home and do some rehabbing to get them used to people and living inside so they can find loving homes. So far we have found perfect homes for 7 cats!

Here’s where you come in - we want to build a catio to expand our little rescue! Everything we do for these cats comes out of our own pockets (aside from some donations from some very kind people) - so that’s food, vet visits, flea treatment and dewormer, and even getting a few cats spayed/neutered who weren’t caught during the TNR. Building this catio would allow us to take in a few cats at a time to provide them a safe space to live until we can find them homes! We plan to attach it to our sunroom with a door so they can go in and out if the weather is bad.

Our plans are for a (roughly) 5x4 space with 7’ of height with lots of shelves for them to lay.

Everyone who knows me knows I LOVE cats and I would do anything for them. It pains me to see these cats living in rough conditions outside near a busy road. We have already lost too many. This catio would help us keep so many cats safe!
