Help Us Build a Safe and Comfortable Space for Eireann

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful hands.

Our beautiful sister Eireann has been diagnosed with a rare and terminal genetic condition involving a duplication of the FDXL 16 gene. It’s something no family ever prepares for – and yet here we are, doing everything we can to make her time as comfortable, safe, and full of love as possible.

Eireann now urgently needs a specially adapted room to meet her complex medical and care needs. This means we either need to build an extension onto our family home or face the heartbreaking option of moving to a disability-adapted property – which would mean selling the home where we've built all our memories and where we are surrounded by a strong community of friends and neighbours.

We’ve decided to try to stay in our home and adapt it – not just for Eireann’s physical needs, but for the emotional well-being of our whole family. Staying here means staying close to the people and support system that help keep us going.

But as you can imagine, building an extension like this is expensive – far beyond what we can afford on our own. We’re planning several fundraising events and are putting in as much of our own money as we can, but we simply can’t do it without help.

That’s why we’ve set up this GoFundMe. Every penny raised will go directly toward creating a safe, accessible space for Eireann – one where she can be cared for with dignity, love, and as much comfort as possible.
