My name is Mohammed, and I’m raising funds for an urgently needed Qur’an Processing Facility that I am personally responsible for.

In the past nine months alone, we have processed over 55 tonnes of discarded, worn-out, and unusable Qur’ans.

Currently, our operations are run entirely by volunteers from several small office spaces scattered across Lahore and Faisalabad (Pakistan).

Despite widespread media attention and close to 1,000,000 likes on socials, meaningful engagement from the broader public—on how they can support our work—remains elusive.....

WHAT WE DO:

- Our volunteers search streets, cemeteries, and public areas to collect discarded Qur’ans and other religious texts.

- They are then brought to the nearest facility and assessed for damage.

- Those that can be restored—through rebinding or spine repair—are sent to local publishers (at our expense) for refurbishment.

- Severely damaged copies are respectfully stored, awaiting repurposing or disposal in accordance with Shariah guidelines.

THE IMMEDIATE PROBLEM:

We are stretched across five separate facilities, all of which we’ve nearly outgrown. Despite our charitable mission, we receive no rent concessions from landlords. Our volunteers work tirelessly, but the scattered nature of our setup limits efficiency and drains resources.

THE SOLUTION:

A generous individual has donated a plot of land for us to build a centralized Qur’an Processing Facility.

This new space will allow us to:

- Consolidate all operations under one roof

- Streamline our workflow

- Eliminate rental costs

- Free up funds to educate the public on proper Qur’an disposal

- Expand our outreach and collection services
