A HOME FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS

Above our wildlife rehabilitation facility sits an unused 30’ x 16’ space. We see an opportunity to turn it into a safe, simple home for two college interns who come to Idaho to learn hands-on wildlife rehabilitation, animal husbandry, conservation and environmental education.

OUR GOAL: $30,000

We want to create:

* Two separate sleeping quarters

* A shared bathroom with shower and sink

* A small kitchenette

* Plumbing, electrical, insulation and finishing work

This isn’t about building something fancy. It’s about building an opportunity.

Affordable housing is one of the biggest barriers for students seeking seasonal internships in rural Idaho. Providing on-site housing allows students to safely live, learn and fully participate in the daily work of wildlife rehabilitation.

And what they learn here doesn’t stay here. These students become the next generation of rehabilitators, veterinarians, biologists, educators and conservationists.

One empty space. Two interns. $30,000. An investment in the future of Idaho’s wildlife.
